Parent Perspective:
The Value of Christian Heritage Academy Summer Camps
With summer approaching, Christian Heritage Academy is preparing for another exciting season of camp! While our official Camp Catalog outlines the diverse programming available, we recently spoke with a current CHA parent, Janet Acosta, to gain firsthand insight into the camper experience. Her daughters attended our STEM and STEAM programs last year, and she shared why CHA Summer Camps are a top choice for their family’s busy schedule.
"The instructors do an exceptional job integrating educational concepts with a traditional summer camp feel," Acosta said. While CHA camps emphasize discovery and skill-building, the curriculum is intentionally designed to feel like a dynamic summer break, blending education with hands-on, memorable activities.
Campers have the opportunity to dive into physically and intellectually challenging activities and highly creative projects that spark genuine curiosity. "My daughter was thrilled by the STEM projects," Acosta shared. "For example, she learned the physics of weight distribution by engineering a balancing bird, and it fostered a deeper interest in science that lasted long after camp ended."
A great summer camp requires a delicate balance of structure and freedom, and CHA's staff is dedicated to fostering a welcoming, energetic environment where kids can thrive. "The atmosphere is active and vibrant, providing the perfect balance of necessary structure and engaging fun," Acosta explained.
Sending a child to camp requires a high level of trust. At CHA, we prioritize health, safety, and a wholesome environment that reflects the school’s mission and guiding principles. You do not have to be a current student to attend, as we welcome guests. “The staff is incredibly supportive and attentive,” Acosta noted.
Whether you are looking for half-day or full-day options, CHA provides a range of programs tailored to your child's interests. This year, we are thrilled to offer Sports, STEAM I, STEAM II, STEM, and Art camps.
When asked what she would tell families considering the program, Acosta's recommendation was clear: "With flexible scheduling options, I’d say, ‘Go for it!’ My daughters consistently came home joyful and eager to share what they learned. I highly recommend CHA camps to any family."
Space is limited, so we encourage you to secure your child’s spot today!
