Welcome to the Christian Heritage Academy Library!

Our library is a “hub” of the school community, a place where students, staff and parents come to enjoy reading and learning.

The mission of the CHA Library is to ensure that students and staff become efficient life-long users of information, resources and ideas.

To support this mission the library exists to enrich educational and spiritual programs, help fulfill the goals of the school and provide a variety of print and non-print resources to support the curriculum, serving as an integral part of the teaching and learning processes.

Through weekly library classes, students are taught grade-appropriate information literacy skills and an appreciation of various literature genres. Competence in technology from tasks such as refining searches, evaluating web sites and ethical use of information are a part of the library curriculum as well. All students attend a regularly scheduled library time with their class, and are also free to visit the library as needed.

We are blessed with a spacious, 5,000 square foot, user-friendly library.  Some of its features include:

  • A 24-station computer lab for Internet access and research, keyboarding practice and word processing projects
  • Online databases and encyclopedia that can be accessed from both home and school
  • Over 12,000 volumes, including fiction, nonfiction, biographies and reference materials
  • An audio-visual library available for teachers and parents
  • Study areas and comfortable reading spaces
  • An online catalog that is accessible throughout the school

Please browse through the library links on the left to learn about some of our special events and programs that take place during the year. The library is a place to explore, investigate and learn. We invite you to come and see for yourself!
