Annual Fund FAQ’s

What is the Annual Fund?
The Annual Fund encompasses all the financial needs of Christian Heritage Academy’s operating budget not covered by tuition.  Currently, tuition accounts for 62% of these needs. All other expenses are covered through support of the Annual Fund: mortgage payments, maintenance of this beautiful campus, continuing education for faculty, heat, air conditioning, electricity, and a host of other expenses related to providing Christian Heritage Academy’s Christ-centered, excellent education.

Why not close the gap by raising tuition?
Since its inception 24 years ago, CHA’s philosophy has consistently demonstrated a commitment to keep tuition as affordable as possible. It has always been CHA's desire that our school would reflect a wide diversity of cultures and socio-economic backgrounds. We continue to be strongly committed to a robust Financial Aid program and are grateful to be able to offer generous financial assistance to many CHA families.

Why is 100% parent participation in the Annual Fund so important?
We are a close-knit community, a unique reflection of the Body of Christ. The sacrificial support of every CHA family to the Annual Fund is an expression of faith and gratitude.  We are privileged to have our children receive an excellent Christ-centered education, and our unanimous support of the Annual Fund clearly communicates to corporations and potential donors that CHA is solidly supported from within. Foundations and corporations want to know whether existing school families support the school before they are willing to commit their dollars.

How much should we give to the Annual Fund?
Each family should prayerfully decide what to give. If we were to divide the needed financial goal of the Annual Fund by the number of CHA students, the amount would equal approximately $2,000 per student, per year. Some families can give more than this, some cannot. But each gift is vital. We are praying that each CHA family will step out in faith to give generously, knowing that God will be glorified.

Will CHA ever stop asking for money?
We hope not!  Without the many generous donations from faithful families and friends, CHA would not be able to continue to grow, reach out to other communities and fulfill its Mission:
“…equipping children to be lifetime followers of Jesus Christ.”
