CHA seeks to help families bridge the gap through:

Financial Aid
In 2010-11, CHA budgeted $410,000 to assist families with full-time students in K-12th grade who have demonstrated financial need. Full-day Kindergarten students may receive up to 35% off tuition and fees. Elementary, Middle, or Upper School students may receive up to 50% off tuition and fees.
Financial Aid packets may be obtained through the Bookkeeper’s Office after the student applies and the application fee has been received. The financial aid process is done in a confidential manner with input from an outside firm – School & Student Services by NAIS (SSS).

Special Assistance Fund
Assistance in addition to Financial Aid is available for families experiencing extraordinary financial circumstances (i.e. loss of job)

Learning Assistance Fund
Special assistance for up to 50% of Learning/Study Center fees is available.

Referral Reward Program
Current families may receive a tuition credit of up to $2,000 for referring a new full-time student or $200 for referring a preschool or morning/combination day kindergarten student.

Pastor Discount
Full-time pastors may apply for a tuition discount for children enrolled full-time.

1st/2nd Grade Tuition Credit Program
A $500 tuition credit is awarded for each year a student attends CHA Preschool or Kindergarten, applied evenly toward 1st and 2nd grade tuition.

Upper School Tuition Credit Program – Consecutive Enrollment Discount
A $250 tuition credit is awarded for each year a student attends CHA prior to 9th grade, applied every year while they attend 9th-12th grades (up to a maximum of $2,000 per year).

Upper School (9th-12th Grade) Merit Scholarships
Four $5000 merit scholarships, allocated to tuition over four years, are available to incoming freshmen in the areas of athletics, service, fine arts, & science/math/technology.

Government Credit
CHA families are eligible to claim up to a $500 tax credit on their Illinois tax return for tuition, books and fees paid to CHA. The credit is claimed by filing Schedule ED and attaching it to your IL-1040.
