FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

I am interested in having a student come and study at Christian Heritage Academy. What do I need to know?
International students should meet the following criteria and approval of the Admission Commitee:  

  • Both parents and guardian of applicants must be mature Christian believers.
  • Both parents and guardian must believe strongly in Christian education and evangelical philosophy.
  • Both parents and guardian must attend church regularly and be active church members, providing a Pastoral Reference Form.
  • Both parents and guardian must fill out Application for Admission.
  • Applicants in 4th grade or younger must live with their parents in the U.S.
  • Applicants in 5th-8th grade must live in the U.S. with a blood relative.
  • Administration, admission staff and junior high lead teacher must personally meet student applying for admission.
  • Administration / admission staff must personally meet and be able to communicate clearly with relative/guardian.    
  • Applicant must have fluent English skills in understanding, speaking and writing to be admitted into the 7th or 8th grade.

Does CHA issue F-1 student visa applications?
Christian Heritage Academy will NOT start an application for a F-1 student visa until the applicant has completed all admission steps and is approved by the Admissions Committee.  At the time of Admission Committee approval, a F-1 student visa application will be completed through the SEVIS system. 

Does Christian Heritage Academy offer English as a Second Language (ESL)?
Christian Heritage Academy does not offer an ESL program. All F-1 students will be required to provide outside English tutoring during their years at Christian Heritage Academy. 

What criteria is used to determine student admission?
Admission will be evaluated on the basis of information submitted on the Student Application form, Pator Reference form, parent/guardian interview, student visit, references of character, samples of English work, and ability to partner with guardian/parent. 

 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The first quarter of enrollment is a trial period for all new students.

International Student Admission Process Includes: 

   - Completed Application by BOTH Guardian and Parents 
   - $300 nonrefundable application fee
   - Pastor Reference Form by BOTH Guardian and Parents
   - Last 3 years of Report Cards and Sample of Graded English work
   - Student Visit & Interview
   - Guardian Interview (parent also if possible)
