Purposeful Giving

"As surely as the compass needle follows north, your heart will follow your treasure."

Christian Heritage Academy is amazingly blessed to have so many cheerful givers. During my short time here, almost $4M has been raised in response to the capital needs for the Strategic Plan. I can think of a number of people who have made significant lead donations for which I am truly thankful. However, there is another group of donors I would like to highlight at this time – I will call them the Purposeful Givers.

Sometimes we can become discouraged when it comes to giving. During these unstable economic times, giving may be the last thing on your mind. Or you may think in the midst of a $14.5M Capital Campaign that you do not have the resources to make a difference. Let me encourage you with these two stories of Purposeful Givers.

The first is a CHA employee who made two pledges to be paid over a five-year period. A disciplined approach was taken to pay these pledges on a monthly basis at a level of at least $40 per month. Since then, the employee has faithfully made $40 contributions on a monthly basis and to date, has contributed over $4750.

Another Purposeful Giver is a CHA family who started giving $25 per month in September of 2000. They have since increased their monthly giving twice and are now giving $75 per month. Furthermore, this couple also actively participates in their company’s matching gift program, which multiplies their giving to CHA. To date this couple has donated, along with the matching gifts, over $30,000 – all by faithfully beginning with a monthly gift of $25.

Committed, purposeful giving provides CHA a valuable revenue stream which helps meet our operating budget every month. Our financial model requires that a minimum of 10% of the annual budget be met through fundraising efforts.

These two examples have resulted in donations of over $4000 per year to CHA. What seems to be only 5 loaves and 2 fish, the Lord can use and multiply mightily for his purposes at CHA.

I would ask that everyone prayerfully consider participating as a Purposeful Giver. The commitment that you make would greatly enhance CHA’s ability to equip students to be lifetime followers of Jesus Christ. Should you wish to participate, or have any questions, please contact me directly at 847-881-1310.

Thank you for being part of CHA's Legacy . . . for Today and Tomorrow!

Blessings,
