Some of the many ways in which parents can serve at CHA
are as Lunchroom and Playground Supervisors.  Volunteer opportunities, coordinated by PTF (Parent Teacher Fellowship), abound in the classroom, on field trips, in special events, and in sports.

The Legacy of Serving
We are deeply grateful for God's grace and protection over our school and the spirit of unity that exists here. Parent involvement is recognized as having a critical effect upon the quality of a child's educational experience, and our parents are actively involved in classroom support and extracurricular activities. We are truly a parent-governed school, with school parents serving on the Board and various commissions and committees.

The generous volunteer spirit of dedicated parents has been a consistent theme in CHA's history. Licensed nurses run our fully staffed health services department and each one donates her time. After-school enrichment, fund-raising, interscholastic sports, field trips, class parties, drama/musical programs, Lion's Pride Chorus, and many school events are made possible by parent volunteer support. 97% of the Academy's families volunteer time and financial resources, beyond required tuition amounts.

Get Involved!
Each spring and summer, parents receive the "Volunteer Opportunities Guide" listing hundreds of opportunities to serve. Every parent is invited to participate, with a special invitation for new parents to get involved.  Parents sign up for one-time events or ongoing opportunities such as lunchroom volunteers or classroom assistants. Friendships blossom as parents from various communities and churches team up to support CHA's academic program. As a result, our sense of community is rich and meaningful for parents and students.
