“. . . Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine,

according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory...

in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever!"  Eph. 3:20-21b

The 2009 – 2010 school year marks our 25th year of educating children at Christian Heritage Academy. Since our humble beginnings when five families in the northern suburbs of Chicago gathered to pray for a Christian school in 1982 and our doors opened in 1984, CHA has worked hard to be good stewards of God’s provisions. Our goal was then, and continues to be, to provide "an exemplary education based on biblical values for the children of Christian families, equipping them to be lifetime followers of Jesus Christ." Yet, until now, the original vision for CHA has been incomplete.

“Our goal is to have a school for K thru 12.”  This line is the first sentence of the second paragraph of our original newsletter written on March 21, 1983 by Dr. Wayne Grudem, a member of one of those five founding families and our first Board President.  For our first 24 years, we built an excellent PreK-8th grade foundation, integrating a Christian worldview with an excellent, fully-accredited, award-winning academic program.

Now CHA begins its next steps in providing an exemplary education with an eternal perspective as we welcome our inaugural Upper School class of 9th graders.  The opening of the Upper School is a dynamic step toward our 5-year strategic growth plan, which also includes opening satellite campuses west (Arlington Heights in 2008), south (Chicago in 2010) and north (TBD) of our Northfield campus.

Christian Heritage Academy is a non-denominational, independent school that cannot accept any local, state or federal funds that would limit out faith-based programming.  As we faithfully move forward with our expansion plans, I would ask first and foremost that you pray for us.  Please ask for the Lord’s blessing on us and that He would use CHA mightily in continuing to build His Kingdom here on earth.

Thank you for taking your time to inquire about CHA and for praying for us.  Should you wish to partner with us and our mission of “…equipping lifetime followers of Jesus Christ,” with your time, talent, or treasure please contact me at (847) 446-5252 or via e-mail.

In Him,
